The first annual Simple Wine News x Ratingtelling ranking from the Great Russian Wine Expedition has just been published.

Domaine BURNIER had two wines in the TOP 100 rating of the best Russian wines!


- Burnier Saperavi 2019 — 8th place and 91 points.
- Burnier Krasnostop Zolotovsky 2015 — 15th place and 91 points.

Congratulations to the whole Burnier team on the excellent results!

How is the rating compiled? Over 100 days, experts, famous sommeliers, and a team of SWN authors visited the main Russian winemaking regions. The wines were tasted under strict regulations based on the WineIncognito questionnaire. More than 2,000 wines from 152 winemakers were scored. Wines that obtained 89 points or more entered the TOP 100. The contenders for the TOP 100 were tasted again in Moscow, meaning that their final place in the rankings took into account two rounds. The WineIncognito system was used to determine the rankings, including tenths and hundredths of points and basic descriptors.
